Moral and Civic Education

We place emphasis on promoting the moral and civic education among students.  We aim at guiding our students to understand their roles in the family, the society, the country and worldwide.  In addition, we focus on cultivating students with international horizon, sense of responsibility, positive values and proactive attitudes, which in turn helps students to make contribution in the family, the society, the country and the world.  Major strategies include:

  • Promoting moral and civic education with the participation of different parties (different academic domains/ subjects and departments) for the development of positive values and appreciative attitudes among students
  • Assigning ‘life education’ as a core curriculum conducted in lesson-time
  • Making use of the ‘hidden curriculum’ to promote moral and civic education by daily contacts between teachers and students as well as the overall school environment
  • Establishing the Moral and Civic Education Committee for the organization, coordination and evaluation of related works
  • Setting up students’ personal profile in moral and civic education for evaluating progress purpose
